Although I feel I was very fair, I may have given an overly critical impression.

It is not bad living Downtown, Midtown, or Buckhead if you stay out of trouble.

Is Midtown Atlanta safe is the question that I will drive around on a Sunday answering.

Crime in Atlanta

No one believes my answer is Midtown Atlanta safe and my response is, crime is down all across the USA.

In most cases when you are in Atlanta, including Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead (the Uptown area) You will not experience any public safety issues at all.

The impression you will get from many people in my comments who are “over” the Atlanta thing is Atlanta Police cars are skidding through the streets hunting down the latest dope boy and aspiring drill rapper’s gang.

If you travel up the I-85 and I-75 which are in the center of the city, you will get a very different impression.

Areas in Downtown Atlanta are very peaceful during the day and mostly throughout the night.

These are mostly office spaces, stores, hotels, and restaurants.

Unfortunately, where affordable apartments rent and right along the span of the I-20, crime rates peak.

The Atlanta police department has its hands trying to comfort you when you ask “is Midtown Atlanta safe” mainly through active community engagement.

Midtown Atlanta is more of what Downtown Atlanta is in addition to popular Atlanta schools, banks, and hospitals.

This drive-around video shows a lot of these areas where it will be difficult to find an affordable housing apartment.

Buckhead, which is the upper north end of Atlanta, has a lot of popular shopping areas like Lenox Mall, and Phipps Plaza.

Buckhead also covers an extremely affluent residential area that leads into Cobb County.

This area is where a lot of people in my comments swear public safety is a major issue.

When I think of “Atlanta high crime areas,” my countless experiences assure me that Buckhead aint it!

Affordable housing options only become available after you pass a certain exit on the I-75

Areas in Atlanta to avoid

Along the I-20 and as you voyage either east or west from the major interstate areas Atlanta gets seedier and will give you more concern about public safety.

As soon as you drive away from the Atlanta boundaries you will run into affluent Atlanta Suburbs.

But like all other cities, poverty or perpetual low income dictates which neighborhoods in Atlanta crime rates are soaring.

Is Midtown Atlanta safe to shop play and eat?

The areas I’ve mentioned here are not really referring to Midtown, you will at this point be wandering off.

I give a complete rundown of the places you don’t want to live in Atlanta.

This list also includes the Metro-Atlanta Surrounding areas.

How much does it cost to live in the heart of Atlanta?

Your income will highly dictate which areas of Atlanta you can afford.

Although the average annual household income in Atlanta is $111,013, the median household income sits at $64,179 per year. in 2022

The city’s median income is not a good way to tell you what you can afford because 2 very different types of people live in Atlanta.

This fact may be true everywhere else but in Atlanta it is glaring.

The place you live will be the most prominent factor about is Midtown Atlanta safe.

If you move to some of the Neighborhoods in Buckhead, you will be spending well over 5 Million Dollars.

On that same note, if you were to live in Mechanicsville, you could find a house for $90,000.

Between those 2 extremes are options for every other income level.

• Popular Restaurants
• The Atlanta Aquarium (the world’s largest indoor aquarium)

Is Midtown Atlanta safe in these areas is never really in question.

These are beautiful places with security and secure facilities.

Is Midtown Atlanta safe at night?

Yes.

Most clubs and restaurants that you visit will be let out without incident.

Our News stations in Atlanta are very unforgiving when they report incidents that rarely pop up.

Sensationalism gets higher ratings than mundane news stories about a peaceful, uneventful night out in Atlanta.

Chances are, if you are not selling drugs, “repping your hood” or the cause of trouble, you will not feel that your public safety is in Jeopardy.

Is Midtown Atlanta safe and a good place to move to?

Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, located in Fulton county.

The city is the major business center and transportation hub of the southeastern US.

Atlanta is growing rapidly.

The city is known for black wealth and political power and was the home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is a budding financial powerhouse innovating in finance, services, information technology, government, higher education, and film and TV production.

Atlanta is also well known for hip-hop, gospel, neo-soul music, and the film industry.

Yeah, but Is Midtown Atlanta safe?

You must keep in mind that the outskirts (Suburbs/Metro-Atlanta) are where most people who move here, desire to live.

The heart of the city is not as attractive of a home base as some of the other Counties and Cities that I highlight in my other driving videos.
