As I toured and stayed in both, there were some key differences between the resorts that you should keep in mind when choosing which one to stay at.
The biggest thing to keep in mind is there are hardly any differences when it comes to location, accommodations, room size or design, and resort layout.

Both resorts offer spa services. It is also known for its luxury accommodations and world-class service.

The food at both locations is pretty much the same.
The difference is, more restaurants will be available to you if you are staying in one of the TRS rooms.
TRS guests have access to every restaurant that Grand Palladium guests have access to, but there are some restaurants that are exclusive to TRS guests only.
To be honest, the food offered at Both resorts is mediocre. To me, there were hardly any dishes to get very excited about.
I’ve had a great meal here and there, but I never felt the urge to pull out my notes and rave about my food as I’ve done at other resorts.

I’m not very big on spas in general.
TRS has the Zentropia spa which is very relaxing and probably everything the doctored order for people who came to Mexico for an ultimate relaxing experience.

My friends stayed at the regular Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres.
It was their anniversary.
I came along and scored a junior suite at the TRS Coral hotel.
Besides it being adults-only, I didn’t see a big difference in the rooms.

Honestly, the location of this entire resort is a little far away from the action for my taste.
For Mexico, I recommend resorts like The Pyramid at Grand Oasis in KuKulkan (A street right in the middle of the hotel zone of Cancun.)
