No where else in the Caribbean has given me the same happiness as Montego Bay Jamaica.

My trip to Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton has convinced me that Jamaica is my favorite Caribbean Destination.

When I visited Jamaica for the 1st time, I went to Iberostar Rose Hall.

I had such an incredible time.

The “vibe of Jamaica” is what captivated me the most.

I wanted to come back to Jamaica as soon as possible and feel that energy in the air, again.

After searching the internet and asking my travel agent buddies for suggestions, we settled on Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton.

I’m so glad we did because once again, Jamaica has outdone itself in all aspects of a perfect Jamaican vacation.

Flying into Montego Bay Jamaica

The last time I was here, a few Jamaican residents told me that my spouse and I were unofficial citizens and were welcome to come back anytime since then.

I remember being so happy to take them up on their offer and to experience that gravitating vibe again.

(MBJ) Montego Bay from Atlanta makes this a carefree flight quicker than it would take for me to get to my hometown of New York City.

Jamaicans have a phrase they use that stuck with me.

It goes:

“No rush mon, Everything is Irie.“

That’s them telling you to breathe, take it easy and chill out!

It sounds a lot like something I would say in my normal life.

I love it.

In other words, enjoy every single minute of this experience and there’s no need to rush. through the time you will spend in Jamaica.

The people in customs, cab drivers, and shop owners all live by this same philosophy.

I talked so much about the great time I had in Jamaica the last time that my brother and his main squeeze were also anxious to see what I experience for themselves.

Coincidentally, they also had a big meet and greet with their employers in Ocho Rios Jamaica.

The junior suite in Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton actually wasn’t much pricier than the Jamaica Resort and Spa rooms.

With Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton, you will get better views, room size options, and access to more restaurants.

There is also an adults-only honeymoon section located in this half of the resort’s compound.

When we checked in, the beautiful lady at Front Desk asked if I was a travel agent.

She said she recently saw my video about the other resort in Jamaica and had special deals if I was really a Travel Agent.

She said we could stay in the junior suite for the first night but for the remaining nights, she would actually upgrade us to a full-bedroom suite.

Is Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Beautiful?

I can’t stress the scenery enough about this place.

Everywhere you turn looks like a postcard or a highly paid photographer is doctoring pictures.

God, the universe, or whoever you may believe in is obviously a painter and his canvas is Jamacia.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton is in the most beautiful landscape possible.

Does Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton have an airport shuttle?

The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton is NOT in Montego Bay.

It is actually in a very nearby city named Lucia.

It is about 15 minutes from the Montego Bay airport by shuttle.

The airport shuttle is about 10 bucks per person but you can check more up-to-date prices here.

Using money in Jamaica

I learned from the last time to keep USD cash on me because it’s used all over the island.

It helps you avoid paying outrageous ATM fees.

Did I mention how beautiful the landscape is?

Not only the hotel but the mountains, the waves, the climate, and the surrounding areas are picturesque.

You won’t need to buy pictures because everything you snap with your smartphone will be beautiful.

The food at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton really “took the cake”

While walking into one of the three buffets I wasn’t expecting anything much better than what I had in Rose Hall.

I was WRONG!

I can honestly say that Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton’s buffet has some of the best food I have ever had on any vacation.

This is NO exaggeration.

I don’t know where they got their recipes for pasta, steaks, and cakes but they should be teaching a cooking class.

For the first time in my life, I realized why Jamaicans loved curry goat so much.

It is EXCELLENT when it’s cooked the way the chefs at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton cooked it.

This was just the buffet.

The other restaurants had even more specialized cooks that were working miracles in the kitchen.

Even breakfast included was amazing.

Alternative Activities

Many people loved the private beach, outdoor showers, sea views, and spa offers.

I don’t smoke weed but it’s obvious that all of the tourists out there were smoking.

If you were ever going to try it for the first time I think this correct setting… under the sunset, in this climate, with these cool people.

Then, going to one of their live dance shows would be funnier than it already is.

Live shows

To be fair, a lot of them danced really well.

About two of them were great singers.

However, some of the performances were pure comedy and not in an “on-purpose” kind of way.

They did their best to keep us entertained.

Our next day was excursion day.

You must go on excursions on any Caribbean island for at least one day of your vacation.

Not leaving the resort or doing anything fun during one of the days is kind of a waste of an opportunity while abroad.

Horseback through trails and water

We checked out a company called CHUKKA

They gave us an adventure to remember for a lifetime for about $150 per person.

I now use Viator in every country I visit so I can know all of the available excursions upfront.

We started out riding horses through the water at Sandy Bay which is about 30 minutes from the hotel by shuttle.

It was an enjoyable experience to gain trust with the horses and see the trails of Jamaica.

I had never ridden a horse until that day but the instructors were great at teaching this skill.

They were also very informative about Jamaica’s landscapes, points of interest, and history.

It was safe and fun.

Ziplining in Jamaica

Next, we headed up to the ziplining adventure.

Getting to the top of the Zipline Mountains was a pretty long ride on the shuttle

People who don’t travel to the Caribbean much may get a little concerned during the trip.

I guess even I was starting to suspect that things in the neighborhoods were looking suspicious.

While turning down unpaved roads and up through narrow backstreets, an eerie feeling is bound to rise in the pit of your stomach.

You will probably start second-guessing the company’s legitimacy and start pondering who in your emergency contacts you can count on.

You’ll start to think about who you’ve let borrow money in the past, and how much ransom money would they consider sending to get you back.

But once you start pulling up to the actual ziplining area, you will get a real sense of relief.

Once the ziplining starts, all of your worries will be completely eliminated.

I hadn’t zip lined for years.

I started out a little shaky at first.

Once I got the hang again, I remembered why I love doing it so much in Mexico and Costa Rica.

This Ziplining trail had about seven lines and the instructors were cool in the game.

River Tubing the Great River of Jamaica

Next up was the perfect excursion for someone who doesn’t want physically exhausting activities.

You can cruise down the river at a lazy pace with a cool Jamaican dude named Tony

This activity is highly recommended.

The video I shot is not doing this place justice.

The beautiful and serene scenes cannot be captured on film.

It has to be experienced.

The captain of our toboggans explains a lot of Jamaican history and tops it off by giving the women a foot massage with some magical stones.

They dug them up from the bottom of the sea and they are said to have ethereal healing properties.

After the information session is over, you can even jump in the river and act a fool.

At first, Tony looked like an evil Captain America.

But that’s the thing about the Jamaican people that I learned the last time I was in Jamaica and held dear to my heart.

The vibe of the people is always super cool.

Honestly, the first impressions you will have with them will have you thinking they are waiting for an excuse to have a conflict with you.

After two minutes of talking to them, it almost feels like you’re talking to a cool, down-to-earth, humble friend that you’ve known all of your life.

I’ve become a big fan of the Jamaican people and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton.

The bartenders knew their way around making drinks and made them strong.

There were great activities to do every night like the casinos and nightclubs.

The grounds, pools, and all areas were kept super clean.

The gym was dope as well with updated exercise equipment.

They take really good care of Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton.

I feel like I need to reiterate how picture-perfect the scenery is and I want to add some more Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton photos.

Honestly, I’ve. never seen sunsets like this anywhere in the world.

The Restaurants serve some of the best food I’ve ever tasted.

The cleaning and concierge staff takes great care of everything with a pleasant attitude.

There’s even security at checkpoints keeping an eye on things.

There were many restaurants to choose from but once you realize how great the buffet’s food is you won’t bother making reservations for seafood and hibachi.

The shuttle drivers are super cool and won’t mind taking you to whichever part of the resort you’d like to go.

Thank God they did this because that place is huge.

The rooms were clean and the appliances were up-to-date.

There was a sports bar on the premises that stayed open all night where we drank bar food and played pool and ping-pong.

We also watched sports on the big screen and hung out until the sun came up reminding us to go to sleep before we sleep away the following day.

Is Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton adults only?

There are certain sections in this resort where kids are not allowed.

There are topless pools and everything else adults would like to do without kids popping out of the bushes.

You will have to show your wristband to get into these areas of this magnificent resort.

Most risque activity goes down after dusk.
