I can’t count how many times I’ve explained to people that they are not “Booking it themselves!”
They swear they have found the magic formula for finding the best websites to book travel.
In fact, they are just sending a larger travel agent (Barry Diller most likely) the commission.
You’re just making sure his already rich kids get into college instead of lining your friendly neighborhood travel agent, Roklan’s, pockets.
Barry has you believing that you found the best websites to book travel.
It’s still a challenge to steer people over to my site www.passportkings.com instead of 1 of Barry’s sites.
But who am I kidding?
Barry and his major competitors have put together some pretty smooth, well-working, and heavily marketed websites that can, most times, easily get the job of booking a flight or hotel, done in a flash.
I’m guilty of using their sites sometimes too!
I cannot honestly say that he doesn’t have some of the best websites to book travel.
But even if you are choosing his services over mine when you are looking for the best websites to book travel, I’m still going to help you out… and for free.
I know that I have 1 of the best websites to book travel but sometimes even I’m willing to forgo my own commission in order to get the vacation plans booked quicker and easier.
With all of the tips and things that I’ve learned by being an advisor, I’ve also learned how to “work” many of their systems and come to the best prices with the most “Bang for my Buck.”
These best websites to book travel will get the job done of making sure you are right in the midst of the action while in faraway lands.
With so many different travel sites out there, how can we determine which one will be the BEST website to book travel for your immediate needs?
Well in this post, I gotcha covered! To answer this question of which are the best websites to book travel, I am going to look at a variety of factors, including
- ease of use
- the site’s financial backing
- customer satisfaction
- reviews of rendered services
- and price guarantees.
In the end, I’ll also show you a way to save thousands when using one of the most popular “name your price” booking engines. Engage!
The best Website for booking Travel for cheap flights
www.passportkings.com is your absolute best option when it comes to low airfare prices.
If you’ve been keeping up with my online presence, you probably know that I am a Travel Agent and my host Agency is Inteletravel.
However, Inteletravel is no longer where Passport Kings gets its unmatchable flight prices.
In the past, I thought my host company would 1 of the best websites to book travel but after having pie on my face, when someone beat my price, I realized I was not working with 1 of the best flight search engines.
Passport Kings’ newly updated website compares flight engines and well-known travel company websites.
This way you are comparing all of the best travel sites in 1 place and getting them sorted down to the lowest prices.
Sometimes I find it very hard to explain to people that I can book your travel through any of the sites that have national commercials and you are used to.
People think they are throwing it in my face when they say they are “booking their own travel” online by themselves.
If they knew what they were really doing, they wouldn’t even mention such a silly sentiment.
I’ve made an entire video about what they are REALLY DOING and you can check it out here:
But if Passport Kings is using the same searches, what makes us 1 of the best websites to book travel?
When I’m your personal agent, the difference is, that I can still check the hotel that you are settling on for any added discounts, perks, and Specials.
I also have access to millions of hotels and can compare the prices up against each other.
You will have to go to my contact page and fill out the questionnaire so I can take care of you personally. I love travel.
I wanted to make sure I created 1 of the best websites to book travel on earth.
I hardly ever do this service personally anymore because the updated Passport kings website takes care of all of these searches without me.
Passport Kings is my Online Travel Agency, so of course, I will tell people to run their travel by me before settling for somewhere else.
Many times I can beat the deal, but if worse comes to worst, I will match the flight deal you found.
When I’m only able to match the deal, at least you will have peace of mind knowing that you supported a local business that cares about your Vacation.
The commission that was going to go to somebody regardless, will be going to the person (Me)
And you will know you used the cheapest flight website.
I’ve spent my time discovering, previewing, and making Videos to familiarize you with the destination.
But only being able to match the price rarely happens.
Passport Kings is usually able to beat other best websites to book travel in price because travel companies want to keep us recommending them.
They get nothing from a customer who is just 1 and done after they “Book for themselves.”
So, now that you know that Passport Kings is the best flight booking site and the best website for cheap flights,
here is the rest of the list of the best online travel engines to use:
The best website to book travel when getting a Hotel room
When I was convinced that I “BOOKED TRAVEL BY MYSELF,” Booking.com was my 1 favorite.
Their prices always seemed better than the others.
Plus up until inteletravel upgraded its results 3 years ago to include smaller hotels, they gave options offering little local accommodations that I could not find on other sites.
They also bragged about their option to let me pay at the hotel when I arrived, instead of upfront while booking the reservation. I haven’t seen many other websites offer this option.
Booking is the #1 online booking platform for accommodations around the world.
They have zero booking fees.
They speak almost every language, for people who are booking and don’t speak English.
Booking.com is the #1 travel site in terms of Customer Satisfaction by J. D. Power. They have a unique direct long-term relationship with more than 900,000 accommodations.
I used to think I was cheating the system when I booked with booking.com. I even made one of my first YouTube Travel videos about them which I’m posting below.
If you insist on being “your own Travel Agent,” (doing all of the work and giving someone else the commission,) then booking.com is probably where you will get the cheapest results from any booking engine.
Best Travel Site for All-Inclusive Packages
Expedia: When it comes to the best websites to book travel, this site has the smoothest search engine which makes finding and comparing options easy.
I’m not sure how they do it because other websites jump around, feel clunky to navigate, and promise things they can’t deliver.
When you search on expedia.com you get the feeling that everything is done by a well-paid computer programmer.
Quite frankly, all of the other search engine builders should hire this team.
It’s just another 1 of Barry’s companies.
It seems he would have spread this smoothness across the board…
but the price tag for upgrading all of his sites may have taken away from the size of one of his new Yachts.
Expedia will do very well without my endorsement because they pay a lot of money for advertising.
It’s rare that you will complete an entire day without seeing an ad for Expedia somewhere.
Their exposure mission is the only thing I have against them. I’m not one to count another person’s pockets, but they certainly have to be collecting their advertisement money from somewhere, and it’s most likely you.
But I’m not a hater. Go to Expedia’s website to see if you can get what you need in an all-inclusive package.
I only ask that you cross-reference these best travel sites and give Passport Kings a chance to see if I can beat it when it comes to the best websites to book travel.
Best website to book travel by cruise
With cruises, you’d be silly to do all of your bookings online on any site.
Your 2nd best bet is to call the cruise line directly, and your first best bet is to call your travel agent…ME!
Cruise prices change dramatically depending on the routes, the time of year, the demand for cruises, etc.
I’ve seen cruise prices drop by half just hours before disembarkation.
I quit my Job to Travel the World – Passport Kings Travel Relaunch
That’s when you will have wished that you used 1 of the best websites to book travel.
When you have someone on the phone, they will be telling you up-to-date information that may not be showing on the websites yet that information is only shared among themselves and all of the perks like free nights, free liquor, etc offered to the travel agents to try to fill the boat up going online, and “booking it yourself” will most likely cost you a few hundred dollars.
Booking far in advance is most beneficial if it’s 6 months to a year in advance or if you are trying to coordinate a large group of friends and family. The extra time will give everyone in your group a chance to get their finances in order.
Where to get the best reviews on Vacations and Holidays
Reviews! Reviews! Reviews!
When I started my Youtube page, Trip Advisor was strictly a travel reviews site.
In my imagination, they saw what I was doing and took everything Passport Kings was known for. I figured I had 1 of the best websites to book travel and I saw no better way to market it but to go on the trips myself and present real up-to-date reviews.
Yeah, you can get my reviews about flights, Cities, and Resorts, but Trip Advisor gives you reviews about those experiences from almost everyone that has been anywhere.
This (As I can vouch for) is a great combination when anyone is trying to decide where travelers would like to visit around the world. The link to TripAdvisor is here.
The Best Booking Aggregators to research and compare Everything
What is an Aggregator
To make it simple, imagine a google search.
Google itself doesn’t answer your questions. What google does is search billions of sites to find the right answer for you Aggregators are the same when it comes to travel.
They comb through hundreds to thousands of sites looking for either the lowest price.
Which Aggregator to use?
Trivago’s hotel search allows users to compare hotel prices in just a few clicks.
They are the hotel booking best website.
You will get to choose from more than 300 booking sites for more than 5.0 million hotels and other types of accommodation in over 190 countries.
My Passport Kings website does this with hotels and rental cars as well but I believe Trivago was the first with the concept Trivago shows you what a lot of other engines hide.
They show you the process of comparing how low each Hotel or Flight is willing to go.
You will actually see many pages jump up on your screen and Trivago doing its magic to weed out what works and what doesn’t.
This process can be messy to watch and there is no emotion put into the decisions.
Algorithms are making all of the decisions.
Do you really want your vacation decided by math?
Some people are like, “HELL YES!
I just want to get to the bottom of the barrel for my vacation plans.”
Others prefer a human with some travel experience to call shots so they can get the BEST EXPERIENCE while traveling.
But if you can get over the fact that a computer is choosing everything for you, then go to Trivago and watch the magic as it happens and receive a great price.
Best Overall Travel Booking Experience
The way I felt about booking.com for hotels, is the same way, I felt about CheapOair when it came to flights.
They are cheap!
The more I learned about airfare, after becoming a Travel Agent, the more I realized why I liked CheapOair so much.
Their search engine provides flight options that other search engines may not even mention.
Why?
CheapOair is one of the fastest-growing online travel companies in the US.
With a dedicated team with over 15 years of experience in serving travel needs online, CheapOair was on a mission to become 1 of the best websites to book travel.
They took their expertise to the web and develop amazing software to improve every aspect of the travel process.
CheapOair is a well-skilled team of software engineers and travel specialists that work tirelessly to make CheapOair one of the best sites to plan, book, and manage your travel plans.
They will mention the flights that connect to other airlines mid-trip.
They seem to know where to find the best deals when booking travel online.
I used to be all about saving a dollar any way I could when I first started traveling.
Finding the best websites to book travel used to be an unhealthy addiction of mine.
All I wanted was the best travel sites for packages.
Now I’m more of 1 of those convenience guys that I used to look at as pretentious.
lol, Bottom line…
If you want to compare all prices before making your pick, and I mean everything, CheapOair is great at these tasks and your pockets will feel the difference.
They would be the best website for booking travel if not for PassportKings.com.
Thanks for checking out this countdown about the 9 best websites to book travel.
Now I implore you to get your group together and travel like a King…
Honorable mention: Google Flights My Opinion: They may claim they are winning at best websites to book travel but I feel they are biting off of Kayak and Trivago.
Use this Price Hack on Priceline to get into your exact luxury hotel for the lowest price possible.
I used to be crazy about Hotels.com but now that I have teamed up with 1 of the largest Travel Agencies in the world.
I recommend you use my site for travel deals the Passport Kings way:
